Friedberg Moravian Church

“Cookies for Christ” – What can God do when the “Body of Christ” gives from the heart for Christ? He can use the “Body of Christ” at Friedberg to reach out and share the love of Christ to encourage and build others up. From your gifts of love, we will purchase Moravian sugar cookies and attach a message of love and thanks to each bag. Each bag will be hand delivered to those serving this nation. It is amazing to see how God can take a simple bag of cookies with a message attached, and touch lives in a way we can never imagine.

  • Love offering baskets can be found at each door – thru 10/22.
  • If you wish to write a check, please make it payable to Friedberg Moravian Church and reference “Cookies for Christ.”
  • If you would like to have your donation added to your church contribution, please use an envelope, complete all the information requested and mark on the envelope “Cookies for Christ.”

A couple of months ago, a group from your church was at the Camp Lejeune exchange passing out cookies to service members to thank them for serving.  We just opened our cookies a few days ago.  They were delicious.  We want to thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedules to come and do a good deed in the name of Christ.  Know that it will not be soon forgotten.
P. S.   Would love to know where you got the cookies.  :)

Thank you to all the kind Moravians who make it possible for your heartfelt cookie message to get to so many deserving people.  We are originally from Winston-Salem and know all your efforts include a long drive. I especially want the individuals who wrote the message to know that it is incredibly beautiful.  I hope you have shared it with Moravians all over the country.  You too are loved by people you don't even know.

This morning I received a package of cookies while entering the MCX at Camp Lejeune, NC.  I want to say thank-you for making the time to travel to Camp Lejeune in order to simply show your appreciation for the men and women serving or have served our Country.  This act of kindness led me to your website and now I know of the Friedberg Moravian Church of which I knew nothing about two hours ago.  So again Thank-you!
We are one in Christ!

I would like to THANK your  congregation for their generosity of the cookies that were given to us on Saturday at Camp Lejeune NC. The support of our troops is greatly appreciated. I repeatedly tried to offer the gentleman a donation and he would not accept, simple stating that the cookies were a gift. How humble your congregation is. THANK YOU again for the gift.

Hello,
My name is Kristi and I know this is a little late, but I just wanted to thank you and the church family for your delicious package of cookies that were handed out at the Camp Lejeune exchange.  They (we got 2) were kindly delivered to me and my four children at the time and of course opened up immediately (which was a great help at the store).  Its really nice to know that we (spouses and children) are recognized in such sweet ways.  I just want to say that the smallest things go such a long ways.  Blessings from the Reeds!

I was at the Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Exchange a few weeks ago and your church was handing out cookies. The guy who contacted me simply said, this is a small token of of great appreciation for your service. Thank you for the kind gesture. I meant to respond earlier,  but I got busy and it fell off my scope.  It really means a lot to me....and the cookies were great.  Merry Christmas and blessings.

I just want to send a note of thanks to the folks who came to Camp Lejeune this week to hand out cookies. I am humbled by your generosity and thankful for your willingness to support the troops. I was very encouraged as I went through out my day to see so many Marines and Sailors on and off base with a package of cookies in their hand. What a wonderful way to show your appreciation for our military and share the Love of Christ. Thank you for your work of faith and labor of love.

Sincerely,
John Ahern, USN (retired)

My husband is a Marine currently serving at Camp Lejeune and I want to thank you all for your thoughtfulness and gratitude you showed toward us and other military families today outside the main exchange. I cannot express how much we appreciate the support, as it gives us comfort in knowing that the church stands behind what the military strives to accomplish and those who defend our freedom. It is easy to become discouraged some days when we (the military community) feel as if our contribution achieves very little, but you all provide that reminder, the encouragement needed to know that what we do is not in vain. Continue to do what you do because your acts of kindness do not go unrecognized. We appreciate the delicious cookies very much (the package is half eaten).

Happy holidays and God bless!
